Two Injured In Wreck


Two patients
were transported to Marshall Medical Center
North after this wreck Wednesday evening at
approximately 6:25 pm.

A two car
collision at the intersection of Brindlee
Mountain Parkway North and Gilliam Springs
Road sent two people to Marshall Medical
Center North by ambulance Wednesday evening.
Mark Cain, of Arab and driver of a Lexus
sedan was transported by Arab Fire Rescue.
James (Jim) Byrd, also of Arab and a
passenger in a Ford Explore, was transported
by Marshall Health Systems EMS.
Geraldine Byrd, Driver of the Explore was
not injured. Cain was traveling South
when his vehicle collided with the Byrd
vehicle which was crossing 231 onto Gilliam
Springs Road.
The accident is
being investigated by Arab Police.
According to police, alcohol may have been a
contributing cause to the accident.
Police found several empty beer containers
in the Lexus.
