Saturday Wreck
Sends Two To Hospital

A two
vehicle crash at the intersection of North
Brindlee Mountain Parkway and Golf View Dr
NE sent two victims to the hospital by
ambulance. Hollis Cooper and Hazel
Cooper were transported to Marshall Medical
Center North by Arab Fire Rescue service.
Paul Brown, driver of the other vehicle was
not seriously injured. Both Mr.
and Mrs. Cooper were later transferred to
Huntsville Hospital where Mrs. Cooper was
reported to be in critical condition and Mr.
Cooper was still undergoing testing.

According to a witness at the
scene, the Cooper vehicle, a Hyundai Accent, was traveling West
on Golf View Dr NE and the Brown vehicle, a Dodge Caravan
minivan was traveling South on the Parkway. The Hyundai
was crossing the intersection when it was struck by the Dodge
minivan. The Cooper vehicle caught fire after the impact.
The fire, which was caused by a ruptured transmission fluid
line, was extinguished by Arab Fire personnel.

This Dodge Caravan, driven by Paul Brown,
sustained considerable damage.
Units from the Arab Rescue Squad, Arab Fire
Rescue and Arab Police Department were called to the wreck.
The accident is under investigation by the Arab Police
Department.
