Mary Paige Hunt was crowned as the new 2008 Arab Junior High Sweetheart Saturday night.  Paige, a 6th grader at AJHS, is the daughter of Barry and Adi Hunt of Arab.  She was crowned by last year's winner Olivia Laney. 

Chelsea Cooper was named 1st runner-up.  2nd runner up was Shelby Grace Mays, 3rd runner up was Haley Gilbertson and 4th runner up was Tori Bigham.  Carly Deck won the Miss Photogenic competition was and Holly Jordan was chosen as Miss Congeniality.

The top 10 contestants were Kaitlyn Howard, Alexanne Bobo, Ashley-Morgan Whisenant, Erin Whitlow and Meredith Roy. Also in the Top 25 were Betsy Jordan, Emma Walker, Holli Hale, Mary Ellen Hill, Anna-Catherine Gibson, Camille Walters, Paige Rainwater, Holly Jordan, Ryleigh Edwards, Alex Atkins, Laura Green, Breanna Haymon, Shellie King, Brittany Cagle and Anna Couch.
