Snow Point Road Man Charged With Distributing Marijuana

Officers from the Marshall County Sheriff's Department arrested a Snow Point Road man Tuesday after allegedly finding marijuana growing in his home.

Sheriff Scott Walls said that Joe Vann Bunch, Jr., age 36, of 571 Snow Point Road was arrested after a search warrant was served on his home.

Walls said the arrest culminated a three month investigation by law enforcement officials into the distribution of marijuana.  Walls said that officers seized 50 marijuana plants which were growing inside the home, as well as approximately one ounce of harvested marijuana, and several firearms.

According to Walls, Bunch was charged with possession of marijuana in the first degree and two counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance.  Bunch was transported to the Marshall County jail where a $150,000 bond was posted for his release.
