Golden Living Center Arab has announced the appointment of Cynthia Morgan, RN as the Director of the Alzheimer’s Care Unit at the Golden Living Center Arab facility.

Morgan has received extensive training in Alzheimer’s Dementia and caring for people with this disease. She is nationally certified as a Dementia Practitioner from the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners (NCCDP). Individuals with questions regarding the disease or resources available, or organizations or groups in need of a speaker may contact Morgan at 256.586.3111.

The Alzheimer’s Care Unit at Golden Living Center Arab accommodates 24 residents. The dedicated unit is based on a social model, instead of a medical model. Rather than employees and residents, they are “family groups”. Elements of home with innovative features that aid in daily activities, the secure unit is a place where people not only live well, but live with dignity and self-esteem.
