Arab Today - Hawkins Law, LLC
Team Up With New Feature

August 25, 2008
Arab Today is happy to offer our readers a brand new feature beginning with today's issue.  Arab Today has partnered with Lana Hawkins and Hawkins Law, LLC to launch an Online Legal-Business Column.

The monthly column, written by Arab attorney Lana K. Hawkins, is called “MAIN STREET LAWYER”. The column will feature legal and business topics that are of interest to small and mid-sized businesses and individuals.

Dwight Hayes, Founder and President of Arab Today said that the column is in sync with his vision for an electronic newspaper serving his hometown of Arab. “What we hope to present in the new column is a wide variety of topics that appeal to business people and other non-lawyers”, said Hayes. “We are excited about Lana’s column and think it will add some great content in areas that will be important to Arab’s commercial growth and for general educational purposes.”

The first article, AN OUNCE OF PREVENTION – HOW TO PROTECT YOUR COMPANY’S CONFIDENTIAL BUSINESS INFORMATION” highlights the steps every business should consider in order to protect its trade secrets. The second article, which will be published in September, will discuss the use of non-competition and non-solicitation agreements. From now until the end of the year, the column will focus on business topics, shifting to estate planning and elder law issues after the first of the year.

“The goal is to provide timely access to information that is relevant to entrepreneurs, business people and others” said Hawkins. “The articles will be short and to the point.  I am looking forward to this column and hope that it will be interesting to people in the community.”    Click here for this month's column....
