We're
Making New Year Resolutions
January 1, 2008
The beginning of a new
year is traditionally a time for new year resolutions.
Some of the most common new year resolutions are to lose
weight, get more exercise, eat better, quite smoking, spend
more time with the family, etc. All very laudable
goals. Whatever your new year resolutions, we hope you
are successful.
We at Arab Today are making new
year resolutions also. A few of our 2008 resolutions
are: Expand our coverage of Arab, Brindlee Mountain
and local area news. Add new features and content to
the Arab Today website. Deliver the news and
information much faster than before. Be more involved
in community events. Make more people aware of the
Arab Today website. Offer greater advertising
opportunities for local businesses.
Over the next few weeks and
months look for the announcement and rollout of new
features. In fact, we are announcing one of those new
features today. In the menu structure to the left of
this article you will find a new link titled "Birthdays" (Or
just click here). In conjunction with the Arab
Mother's Club # 2, we will be providing a daily listing of
the birthdays of local residents. (See the article
below for more information.)
Now it's your turn. Here
are some suggested new year resolutions for our readers:
Contribute to Arab Today by making us aware of
events, news stories, etc. (It's easy to do by emailing us
at
contact@arab-today.com). Tell all of your friends
and family about Arab Today, even if they live in
other parts of the country or world. Contribute
letters to the editor. Consider writing a guest
article. Send us a email note or call with ideas for
new features or content. Encourage local businesses to
advertise on Arab Today.
Ok, our resolutions are in
writing, now we have to get busy (hopefully you will too).
While we are looking forward to
2008, we have to also look back briefly at 2007. We
would like to thank everyone for their support over the past
year. Your support resulted in an average of
approximately 30,000 visits per month to the Arab Today
website during 2007.
We hope that 2008 is the
best year ever for you and your family. Good luck on
your personal resolutions and don't forget to write 2008
instead of 2007.
Oh yeah, that weight and
exercise thing. It's on our list too.
