The Knights took a step backwards tonight and dropped an Area 14
game to Madison County by a lopsided score of 59 35. The
Knights fell behind 17 3 by the end of the first quarter and
were never able to recover. The loss drops Arab back to .500
with an 11 11 record and Fort Payne coming to town Friday. The
Madison County Tigers go to 8 7. Arab drops to 2 3 in Area
14 play with one Area game remaining. Madison County is now 3
1 with games remaining against Scottsboro and Fort Payne.
The Tigers opened up the
game hitting 5/5 from behind the arc to grab a lead that was
never in jeopardy. Cordarius Cross did most of the early damage
with Hunter Allen piling on. Cross was the games leading scorer
with 15. Allen added six and five rebounds. Brett Gurley added
12 points for the Tigers.
Wesley Hohn led the
Knights with eight points and Jared Myers added six.

out-rebounded Arab 35 19.
The Knights will play
another Area 14 contest against Fort Payne, the last regular
season Area game, Friday in Arab. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
Madison Countys next
outing will be next Tuesday, 1/20, at Scottsboro. They will
finish Area play next Thursday, 1/22, at home against Fort
Payne.
