Arab – January 28, 2009 - Special To Arab Today
The Arab Knights continue to build momentum in the stretch run of the season with a win over the DAR Patriots. The win didn’t come easy, as they seldom seem to do. DAR kept pace with a strong inside game and effective defense but the Knights’ answered with strong post play and defense of their own. At the end of the evening the Knights emerged with a 49 – 37 victory, their fifth in a row and tenth of their last thirteen outings.

Tonight’s contest was the last scheduled home game of the season for the Knights. Seniors from the boys’ and girls’ varsity squads and cheerleaders, along with their parents, were honored. Arab’s Jared Myers was also recognized for his 1000 career point milestone. The Knights’ last opportunity for a home game will be subsequent to winning the Area 14 tournament, at which time they would host the Area 13 runner-up.
