One Injured In
South Parkway Accident

One person was transported to Marshal Medical Center North with minor injuries after a two car accident Tuesday afternoon. The wreck occurred on Brindlee Mountain Parkway South near the Arab Electric Co-Op.

Barabara Henderson, 58, of Huntsville, driver of a 2007 Audi Quattro was headed south on the Parkway when her vehicle was struck by a 2007 Toyota Corolla driven by Willie Sue Woods, 80, of Somerville. Woods was attempting to cross the Parkway from the Hwy 69 south bound off-ramp. Woods was not injured.

Henderson's vehicle traveled about 400 feet after the collision, clipped a road sign before going into a ditch, and finally came to stop in the yard and driveway of the home of Mrs. Gaynelle Nunnelly. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. The accident is being investigated by Arab Police
