AMT Receives Thespian Festival Invitation

The Arab Musical Theatre has received an invitation to perform the musical "Little Women" at the International Thespian Society's 2010 Thespian Festival. The festival will be held at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, Nebraska, June 21-26, 2010.

This will be AMT's second trip to the Thespian Society Festival. Perfromances at the festival are by invitation only schools are chosen by a panel of judges who view a performance by the school troupe. AMT Director Brian Quillin said the invitation is one of only two invitations extended to high school programs such as AMT. AMT competed against a minimum of 45-50 other school programs according to Quillin.

Quillin said the next step is to receive Board of Education approval for the trip and to work out the logistics and funding for the trip. Click to view photos from the recent Little Women performance....
