Parade Ushers In Christmas Spirit

The weather was just about perfect for the annual Arab Christmas Parade Thursday night. Cold enough to put parade watchers in the Christmas spirit but not too uncomfortable. Main Street was lined as one of the largest parades in recent times wound it's way through downtown.
Winners in the parade float competition were: First Place - Brindlee Mountain Coon Hunters, Second - New Brashier Chapel Methodist Church, and Third - The Cabin on the Hill Singers.
Winners of the Arab Beautification Board decorating contest were also announced. Coker Berry, located on the Parkway took First Place, The Cupboard, located on 1st Ave won Second Place, and Scott's on First Avenue took Third Place. The beautification board also commended Buddy's Flowers on his continued support of community spirit with his beautiful window treatments. Shoppers are urged to visit these an other businesses throughout the Christmas season
