Council Approves Three
Alcohol License Applications
February 17, 2009
The Arab City Council approved three more alcohol license applications during a
meeting Tuesday night. The approvals brings the total alcohol license
approvals to four. There was no public comment regarding either of the
applications during the required public hearings prior to the vote. All
three applications were recommended for approval by the Alcohol License Review
Committee.
Businesses and owners who were approved are:
Vino, Inc./Jacob Bright,
located at 1950 North Brindlee Mountain Parkway; Bama Beverages, LLC./
Bradley Tittle, located at 125 North Brindlee Mountain Parkway; and Mt. Fuji
Japanese Restaurant / Ende Lin, located at 1410 North Brindlee Mountain Parkway.
One other application did not meet the necessary public notice requirements and
will be considered at a future meeting according to Mayor Gary Beam.
The
applications must now go to the Alabama Beverage Control Board for issuance of a
State License. If approved by the State, the applications will come back to
Arab City Clerk Tony Willis to issue a city business license.
