Letter To The Editor

Dear Arab-Today Editor,

Almost three years ago I wrote your news web site regarding my husband, Matt's, search for his birth mother and family. You included our letter in your Letters to the Editor section.

My name is Sharron and I've been helping Matt search for his birth mother for years. We found her in Arab, Alabama three years ago.

It's Christmas time and loving thoughts and Christmas cards are being prepared for our family and friends that are in our lives.

I've prepared a virtual card for her/our family though they may not know of us. Our Christmas greeting can be viewed at www.photo.alitio.us

Davis Christmas CardMatt was adopted in 1959 by an older couple and raised as an only child. His parents both died when Matt was age 13 and age 14 respectively. We know that his birth mother and her husband have children. To know that he has half siblings is a wondrous and confusing thing for him.

Matt has been looking a very long time. Three years ago Matt wrote to her but did not receive a response.

Matt was born in Titus County, Texas in of 1959. His birth mother married in 1959, 4 days after his birth, also in Titus County, Texas.

We've no desire to upset anyone nor cause them any heart ache. However I would like to help alleviate some of the sadness and heartache that my husband has lived with his entire life. His birth mother and her children have each other yet they also carry a part of Matt with them daily. They share heritage, DNA and similarities yet to be discovered.

We know you dear family though we've not met. Matt and I wish for you all of God's blessings this holiday season, and pray that in time we might come to know each other a bit.

I'd like to think that it's quite a simple thing it is to learn to love, acknowledge and respect those who are a part of you, but I know it is so much more then simple.

All it takes is one step along a path.

You might agree Mr. Editor to contact us via our email address if anyone of this family should contact you.

We don't wish to publish in such a public arena any information such as names or identify dates that may cause harm or stress to this family.

Thank You,

Sharron Davis

Editor's Note To Matt's Mom: Please feel free to contact us by email at mattswish@arab-today.com or phone (256) 200-0652. Please know that any communications will be confidential and that your wishes will be followed.
