Elizabeth Santos Wins Self Expression Preliminary At Alabama's Junior Miss

Elizabeth Santos, Marshall County Junior Miss 2009, and a senior at Arab High School, won a Self Expression preliminary at Alabama's Junior Miss in Montgomery this weekend. This is the first Marshall County preliminary winner at state since 2002!   Marshall County Junior Miss coordinator Sara Allen complemented Santos on her win, "She did a wonderful job and represented us so well."  Elizabeth will receive a $700 cash scholarship!

Elizabeth is the daughter of Susan and Nick Lacey and Benjamin and Debbra Santos. She plans to attend Hunter College in New York and become a lawyer. Elizabeth is president of Junior Civitans International and was the Governor of the Alabama North District last year, is a graduate of Marshall County Youth Leadership, a member of the Junior Ambassadors Arab High School, National Youth Leadership Forum, and the National Spanish Honor Society
