Family Resource Center Announces
Educational Opportunities

January 16, 2009
One of the goals of Marshall County Family Resource Center is to provide educational opportunities to the community. The agencies housed in the Family Resource Center have joined efforts to offer a series of two-hour seminars. Topics will be:

  • January (now February 6) – How Boards & Directors Can Work Together More Effectively – Presenter: Ms. Luanne Hayes

  • February – Tips for Relatives Raising Children

  • March – Preparing for the Silver Tsunami
    Presenter: Attorney David Roadruck

  • April – Working with Children with Special Challenges

The seminars will be held at the Family Resource Center and will be provided at no cost. Space is limited; therefore, registration will be on a first-come-first-served basis.

The February 6 seminar is being offered based on the numerous comments received regarding the need to help boards of directors and directors understand their respective role and how to work together to be more successful.

To register yourself or a board member, please complete and return the enclosed form. Registration deadline is Wednesday, January 23, 2009. If you have questions please call me at 279-0046.
