A grinding head on collision on Cullman County Road 1809 took the life of a Joppa woman and sent two others to hospitals just before noon on Tuesday.
Belinda Cason, age 45 and driver of a Chevrolet Corsica, of Joppa was apparently killed instantly in the crash. Her husband and passenger in the car, David Randall Cason, age 49, was critically injured and was flown from the scene to Huntsville Hospital by an Air Evac medical helicopter.
Stacey Renea Pearson, age 25, also of Joppa, was transported to Marshall Medical Center North by Arab Fire & Rescue ambulance.
The accident is being investigated by Alabama State Troopers. Rescue units from Arab and Joppa responded to the accident.
