Arab Police have charged
two people with manufacturing crystal meth in separate
incidents earlier this week.
APD
ANVIL officer Scotty Watson said Tammie Carol Serami,
age 41, of Cullman was arrested Monday afternoon and charged
with Manufacturing 2nd. Watson received a tip that
Serami, and another person, had bought Lithium batteries and
Sudafed at a local pharmacy. Both items are used in the
manufacturing process. Serami was stopped by Arab
patrol Robbie Rainwater after allegedly making an illegal
turn. According to Watson, Serami was in possession of
three baggies of finished Meth, the precursor items
purchased earlier, and other drug paraphernalia.
Watson said the combination of finished product and the
other items allows for the manufacturing charge.
Serami is being held in the Marshall County Jail.
The serving of a harassing
communication warrant led to the discovery of an active lab
in a local motel room Wednesday afternoon. Watson and
APD Corporal Mitch Stone were attempting to serve the Morgan
County arrest warrant on Greg Alan Riley, age 34, when they
discovered a "One
Pot Lab" allegedly being operated by Riley. Riley
was charged with Manufacturing 1st, two counts of unlawful
possession of drugs (meth & pills), and possession of drug
paraphernalia. Riley is being held in the Marshall
County Jail under a $30,000 bond.
