An Arab Police officer crashed his patrol unit enroute to a call early Tuesday morning. The unit struck a concrete culvert and fence two houses from the original call. The original call was a report of multiple subjects attempting to enter a residence. Officers did not locate anyone at the residence. Rainwater was transported to Marshall Medical Center North by Arab Fire & Rescue ambulance. He was treated and later released. The patrol unit was towed from the scene.

While waiting for the Trooper unit to arrive, Corporal Cass Lambert and Sergeant Seth Sullivan were standing near the accident scene and heard two gunhsots. The officers took cover behind Lt.
