Preliminary totals for the Marshall County North Relay For Life have topped $162,000 and are expected to go higher.  According to Natalie Burke, several teams shave not yet turned in their money.  Those funds are expected to be received the first part of the week.  In addition, Burke said that some additional fundraisers were planned for after the Relay.  Those events are expected to be wrapped up by the end of May.  Burke said, "We hope our total will reach over $170,000 when these amounts are added".

Top Fundraising Teams:

Division I – Corporations – Wal-Mart $11,795.75

Division II – Schools/Small Businesses – Arab Primary School $9,533.

Division III – Churches/Friends and Family – Warrenton United Methodist Church - $12686.84

Best Tent Decoration – Grassy Elementary School

Golden Pillowcase Award – Team with the most people who stayed all night at Relay – Arab First United Methodist Church Youth Group

Spirit Award – Warrenton United Methodist Church

Cooking For A Cure – Marshall County Gas District

Sweets and Treats Contest – Marshall County Gas District

Best Team Skit/Song – Arab Police Department
