Republicans
Make County Office Gains As Jolley And Bollinger Switch Parties
April 26, 2009
Republican control of local Marshall
County offices got a little stronger this weekend as two formerly
Democrat officials switched parties.
Marshall County Circuit
Judge Tim Jolley and Marshall County Commissioner Tim Bollinger
announced today that they have joined the Republican Party.
Judge Jolley said he had
been considering joining the Republican Party for some time. "Most
people don't fit 100% in either party but this is a personal issue for
me and it has nothing to do with my judicial philosophy."
Bollinger said, "I
appreciate the warm welcome that the local Republican Party has offered
me. I have been voting for conservatives for public office my entire
life. Over the past several years it has become apparent to me that my
values are just in line with the Republican Party."
