Marshall County Sheriff Scott Walls said Marshall County Deputies recovered a Chevrolet truck that was parked at the Beech Creek boat ramp on Warrenton Road on January 3, 2010. The truck was reported in connection with a missing person, Jesse Bullard, of Blount County.
After recovering the truck, Marshall County Sheriff’s Deputies and Investigators conducted a search of the area by air and foot with no findings. Sheriff’s Investigators, along with Alabama Dept of Forensic Sciences, processed the truck and discovered evidence relating to the case.
Walls said that Blount County investigators developed information on the possible location of the remains on Friday.. Early Saturday morning, deputies from both counties, along with SARTEC K9 (search and rescue dogs) conducted a search on Cox Gap Road, which is located off Alabama Highway 79, near the Blount/Marshall County line. As a result of the search, human remains were found in a wooded area. The remains were collected by Alabama Dept of Forensic Sciences and taken to Huntsville for an autopsy.
Walls said, "We are proud to have been able to help the Blount County Sheriff’s Office on this case. It is important to have a close working relationship with surrounding agencies, working together; we are able to solve many more cases."
