The driver of a Harley Davidson motorcycle was injured in a crash around 10 pm Friday night. Walt Hix, of Union Grove, was traveling north on Brindlee Mountain Parkway when a Suzuki Forenza driven by Shelby Dooley of the Eva-Falkville area apparently pulled into his path. The Dooley vehicle was pulling out from Haynes Road NE.

Hix was transported to Huntsville Hospital by Arab Fire and Rescue. His injuries were not considered to be life threatening. Hix is the husband of an Arab Police Department communications officer.

Shelby Dooley, age 15, was not injured. Dooley's mother and two sisters were also in the car and were not injured.

The accident is being investigated by Arab Police. Units from the Arab Rescue Squad assisted with traffic control at the accident scene.
