Search personnel from more than a half dozen North Alabama agencies braved bitter cold and swirling snow Sunday afternoon looking for a man reported missing from a Maze Road residence. The man, Daniel Jason Fuller, age 42, of Husky Mountain Road in Lacey's Springs, had been missing since Friday afternoon according to reports from family and friends. He was located near Morgan City late Sunday evening. A sister said that he was located by a Morgan County deputy and was carried to Huntsville Hospital for treatment. According to family members he suffers from Schizophrenia. The Marshall County Sheriff's Department headed the investigation into Fuller's disappearance.
According to a friend, Fuller bolted from the Maze Road residence Friday afternoon and was last seen running into some woods near the home. Search crews from Arab Rescue Squad, Guntersville Rescue Squad, 4-C Volunteer Fire, Joppa Volunteer Fire, Brooksville Volunteer Fire and Arab Fire Departments searched a wide area both on foot and on all terrain vehicles. The search began around 1pm Sunday afternoon but was called off at 5 pm as nightfall and falling temperatures made searching hazardous. The agencies planned to resume the search Monday morning had Fuller not been found.
