Do dreams really come true when you wish upon a star? For the participants at the Arab Senior Center many dreams come true each year during the Senior Prom sponsored by the Arab High School HOSA class. "When you wish upon a star" was the theme for this year's prom held on Thursday.

The Senior Prom became an annual event after HOSA students learned that many of the senior citizens who participate in the senior center program never had a high school prom. Events such as the Great Depression, World War II, and the Korean War, pre-empted the high school tradition for many of the seniors who come to the center.

Students and seniors alike enjoyed a time of dancing. J. C. Smith and Francis Walters were elected as the prom king and queen by their peers. HOSA club members served the seniors with refreshments. Food and refreshments for the event was provided by the Arab Chamber of Commerce.
