Hwy 69 & 67 Crash Claims One Life
Three Others Injured

A grinding crash involving two eighteen wheelers and a car has claimed the life of the driver of one of the trucks and sent three others to local hospitals. The wreck occurred around 10:30 pm Wednesday night at the 4-way stop intersection. One of the injured was airlifted from the scene and flown to Huntsville Hospital.
According to reports, one of the trucks was traveling east on Hwy 69 when it hit the car and then veered head on into the other truck. According to those reports, the driver of the westbound truck was killed. Ronnie Cook, 58, of Courtland, reportedly died at the scene of the accident. He was driving a 2007 Freightliner tractor trailer. Mondesir Guerly, 45, of Fort Lauderdale Florida and Buck Ray Taylor, 42, of Anniston both sustained injuries in the crash. Nancy Carey, 46, of Cullman was also injured.
Law enforcement, EMS, and rescue units from Arab and Cullman County responded to the scene.
