Last year's first runner-up was crowned as the new 2011 AJHS Sweetheart Saturday night. Shelby Grace Mays an 8th grader at the Arab Junior High School won the title during ceremonies Saturday night. She is a member of the Arab First Baptist Church and is the daughter of Mark and Cindy Mays. Shelby Grace is on the A Honor Roll, is a member of the Beta Club and the basketball, volleyball and golf teams. She is also a past Tiny Miss Arab and Little Miss Arab.

The top 25 were, First Runner-Up Haley Gilbertson, 2nd Runner Up was Katelin Lee, 3rd Runner Up was Camila Garcia and the 4th Runner Up was Abigail Isom. Rounding out the top 10 were Courtney Griffin, Aly York, Mackenzie Sokoll, Laura Graves and Katelin Embry. Also in the top 25 were Malaina Daugherty, Allyson Walsh, Lexi Garrison, Anna Leigh Isom, Allie Couch, Haley Buckelew, Devon Ploshay, Anna Rodgers, Brittany Cagle, Abby Borden, Haley Thomas, Madison Whaley, Madeline Atkins, Kelsey Walters, and Mikayla Clark. Named as Miss Photogenic was Maggie Bishop and Miss Congeniality was Brittany Cagle.
