Alabama Court Of Criminal Appeals
Judge Liles Burke
February 17, 2011 Governor Robert Bentley has appointed Marshall County District Judge Liles Burke to the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals. Burke will fill a vacancy left by Kelli Wise.
In making the announcement, Gov. Bentley said, "Judge Burke brings to the Court of Criminal Appeals a great deal of knowledge and experience", said Gov. Bentley. "As a district judge in Marshall County, Judge Burke presided over criminal, civil, and juvenile cases brought in district, circuit and juvenile court. I believe he will be a fine addition to the court."
Burke grew up in Arab and still lives here. He has served as Marshall County District Judge since 2006. He previously practiced law with his father Claud Burke and served as Arab's municipal judge.
