	State Inmate Escapee Apprehended April 2, 2011 An inmate from Alabama Department of Corrections that escaped while on trash detail in Blount County and was later spotted in Marshall County earlier this month has been apprehended in Douglasville Georgia. William Carter Gron, 49, of Baldwin County Alabama, was serving a 16-year sentence on Burglary and Theft related convictions at the time of his escape. Gron was being housed in the Blount County Jail and was being supervised on the work crew by Alabama Dept of Corrections guards. Gron will remain in custody in Georgia until he has answered his charges there before being transferred back to Alabama. Marshall County Sheriff’s Investigators will be charging Gron with Theft related charges here in Marshall County. The theft stems from a vehicle taken here in Marshall County and was recovered while in his possession at the time of his arrest in Georgia.

An inmate from Alabama Department of Corrections that escaped while on trash detail in Blount County and was later spotted in Marshall County earlier this month has been apprehended in Douglasville Georgia.
