Drug And Promoting Contraband Charges
August 24, 2011
Sheriff’s investigators and corrections officers arrested Bo Alexander Sanders, 21, of Guntersville and charged him with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, Unlawful Possession Controlled Substance, and Promoting Prison Contraband early Wednesday morning. He was a member of the jail staff at the county jail. Sanders had been employed at the county jail less than three months.
According to Marshall County Sheriff Scott Wall's investigators had information that Sanders, was going to attempt to get marijuana into the jail to an inmate. Sanders wasn’t successful in getting the items into the jail. He is currently in the Marshall County Jail without bond.
Walls said, "We work hard to ensure that the jail is safe and secure, and at no time will I tolerate any member of this office to violate the law. In this case, Sanders made a terrible choice, a choice that he must live with, a choice that has landed him in jail, and a choice that could result in considerable jail time for him. It’s our job to enforce the law and put lawbreakers in jail-regardless of who they are or where they work."
