Hannah Rose Rutherford, a 17 year old Junior at Arab High School, was crowned the 51st Miss Arab during ceremonies Saturday night. Rutherford was one of 54 contestants in the annual Arab Band Booster pageant. She was also named Miss Congeniality for the pageant.

Rutherford, the daughter of Steve and Andrea Rutherford, plans to attend Jacksonville State University after graduation and pursue majors in English and Spanish. She would like to teach spanish. She is a member of Gilliam Springs Baptist Church where she is active in the youth group and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She is a member of the Beta Club and currently serves as the club secretary. She is a member of the student council, is drum major for the AHS Band, and is a Junior National Young Leaders Conference Alumnus.
