Arab Loses to Butler 42 - 0


Knight's Defense Closes In On Butler Running Back

Butler High School and the Arab Knights came into Friday night's game with identical an identical 1-6 record, but Butler stunned the Knights with a 42-0 victory.  Butler capitalized on their own speed and quickness and Arab's turnovers and penalties to keep the Knight's off balance most of the night.  Arab's closest drive to the goal reached the three yard line in the fourth quarter but the Knight's were unable to score.

Scoring Recap:

There were no scores in the first quarter.

In the second quarter Butler starts on the Arab 19 in a drive that covers 19 yards in two plays taking 19 seconds off the clock with Nwaubani running 19 yards for the touchdown and his PAT is good.  Butler leads Arab 7 to 0 with 10:19 left in the first half.

With 7:11 left in the first half Butler takes over on the Arab 12 yard line and  runs three plays taking 1:08 off the clock with Nwaubani scoring on a five yard run into the endzone.  Nwaubani's PAT is good and Butler leads Arab 14 to 0.

With 2:32 left in the second quarter, Nwaubani scores from the one yard line after a drive that covered 57 yards in 6 plays and taking 1:55 off the clock.  Nwaubani's PAT is good and Butler leads 21 to 0.

With 45 seconds left in the first half, Devon Belyeu makes a 26 yard touchdown run capping off a drive that started on the Arab 39 taking 37 seconds off the clock in 3 plays.  Nwaubani's PAT is good and Butler leads Arab 28 to 0.

With 3:58 left in the 3rd quarter, Desmon Jones hits Antonius Cunningham for a 66 yard TD pass capping off a drive that started on Butler's 34 yard line covering 66 yards in 2 plays that took 25 seconds off the clock. Mario Nwaubani's PAT once again is good and Butler leads Arab 35 to 0.

With 3:37 left in the 3rd quarter, Devon Belyeu scores from 3 yards out in a drive that started on the Butler 44 and covers 56 yards in 5 plays taking 1:56 off the clock.  Nwaubani's PAT is good and Butler leads 42 to 0.

There were no scores in the fourth quarter and the final score is Butler Rebels 42 and the Arabian nights 0.
