The Arab Lady Knights were hitting on all cylinders Thursday night as they defeated the Madison Academy Lady Mustangs by a score of 58 - 37.  The game was the first home game after beginning the season on the road against DAR. The Lady Knights led the entire game, outscoring the Lady Mustangs in three of the four quarters.

Arab made 26 of 57 field goal attempts attempts for a 45.6% shooting average but managed only a 10% average from outside the three point line sinking 1 out 10 attempts.  From the free throw line, the Lady Knights had 8 opportunities and capitalized on 5 shots for a 62.5% average.  Arab also led in total rebounds, pulling down 41 while Madison managed to control 27.

Leading the scoring for Arab was Alli Smalley with 21 points, 6 steals and 3 rebounds.  Kate Hadkova contributed 15 points, nine rebounds and 1 steal.  Courtney Gibson added 6 points with 1 rebound and 2 steals.  Kathryn Whitlock and Haley Tidmore tossed in 3 points each.  Anna Huckaby, Emily Smith, Lydia Latham and Jessica Baker completed the scoring with 2 points each.

The Lady Knights are currently 2 and 0.  A scheduled game against Hartselle was postponed Friday night because Hartselle is playing in the state football playoffs.  The Knights will play Albertville at home November 20, 2006 at 6 p.m.
