On April 17th, BMHS FBLA went to an FBLA
State Conference in Birmingham. Those s who
attended the conference where Christie
Hodges, Kevin Smart, Kristen Mooney, and
sponsor Mrs. Moore.
On May 2nd and 3rd, BMHS Track participated
in their state meet at Troy.
This week’s “Seniors of the Week” are Jimmy
Shaddix and Courtney Atchley.

Jimmy Shaddix
James Troy
Shaddix II is the son of Donna Garrison and
Jim Shaddix. Jimmy is the grandson of Sandy
and Troy Shaddix and Kay Garrison. He plans
on going to Wallace State Community College
or Northeast Alabama Community College. He
wants to be a computer programmer. His three
main goals in life are to be happy, to get
to graduate, and to get into the video game
industry. His favorite food is sushi. His
favorite color is purple. His favorite movie
is Clerks. His favorite genre of music is
alternative rock. Jimmy’s role model is his
mom, because she has had a hard life and
still is able to be a great person. Jimmy
sees himself finally in the video game
industry, making a game with many of his
friends both at and not at work. His
definition of school spirit is showing love
for one’s fellow students, teachers, and
even the school itself. He went to Union
Grove Elementary School. He entered Brindlee
Mountain in 2001. His favorite thing about
Brindlee Mountain is that the people are
just so unique and great.

Courtney Atchley
Courtney Brooke
Atchley is the daughter of Lisa Atchley and
Kenneth Atchley. She is the granddaughter of
Veria Green. Courtney has a sister, Jessica
Atchley. She plans on going to Snead
Community College. Her top choice of what
she wants to be is business management
and/or graphic design. Her three main goals
in life are to finish school, to get married
in 2009, and to have a wonderful job. Her
favorite foods are McDonalds’ McChicken and
her mom’s mashed potatoes. Her favorite
colors are lime green and purple. Her
favorite movie is Sweeney Todd. Her favorite
genre of music is almost anything.
Courtney’s role model is her mom, because
she has always been there for Courtney
through everything. Courtney says “I love
her with all my heart! Thanks Mom!” She sees
herself being married, having a great job,
and having a wonderful family of four. Her
definition of school spirit is a feeling of
pride for the BMHS team when she attends a
game or is watching a pep rally. She went to
Union Grove Elementary School. She entered
Brindlee Mountain in 2004. Her favorite
thing about Brindlee Mountain is being able
to talk and to hang out with one’s friends
and to learn what one needs to know to go to
college.
