Arab High School Class of 1971 will have it's annual reunion get-together Sunday, July 19th beginning a 3 p.m. at the Outlaw's Steak House in Guntersville.  Classmates and friends invited.  For additional information contact Randy Blackmon at (256) 582-7220 or Danny Hawkins at (256) 586-8644.
 

Arab High School Soccer Camp - The Arab High School Soccer Booster Club  will hold a coed soccer camp July 10 - 11.

Registration will begin July 10 at 7:30 a.m.  Cost of the camp is $40 per player.  Checks should be made to the Arab High  Click here for registration form..
 


The WHOLE BACKSTAGE THEATRE is proud to announce its summer musical, Annie Warbucks July 10th – 19th at the Whole Backstage Theatre in Guntersville , Alabama .

Directed by Diane Duboise and Christopher Carter, with assistance by Melissa Trebus, the world's favorite orphan returns in the long-awaited sequel to the international smash hit "Annie."

Tickets are on sale at the Whole Backstage Theatre 1120 Rayburn Avenue , in Guntersville. Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for seniors. Mud Volleyball - The River church in Guntersville will sponsor a Mud Volleyball Tournament on July 11th at Goose Pond Colony in Scottsboro. Entry fee is $100 open to all players 16 yrs of age and older. Teams can consist of 10 players, eight will play. Art Camp - Brindlee Mountain High School
- July 28, 29, and 30. - 9 a.m. until Noon.

Art camp for grades pre-k thru 5th grade. Learning focus on dance, drama, music and visual arts. Snacks will be provided. A program for parents will be presented on Thursday. There is no charge for this summer learning program but donations are always welcome.

ARTS (artists responding to students) is a non-profit dedicated to bringing the arts and cultural experiences to students. All area students are invited to participate. Homeschoolers are welcome, too.

Mother's Against Meth's 2nd Annual Banquet! - 6: 30 pm August 22, 2009 at Gunter's Landing. The speaker is Ashley Smith Robinson.

The Atlanta hostage hero who read the Bible and The Purpose Driven Life to her captor Brian Nichols, won his trust, and led him to the Savior will be speaking at the Second Annual Mothers Against Methamphetamine Banquet.

Ashley is herself a recovered methamphetamine addict. She offered her captor the last of her old stash. Ashley was in continuous communion with God throughout her nine hour ordeal. Hear her story and her reflections on the power of Jesus Christ to deliver His people from the bondage of addiction.

Alzheimer's Caregiver's Support Group - Gilliam Springs Baptist Church, 1351 N. Brindlee Mountain Parkway. Third Thursday of each month from 6 - 7 p.m.  T
his is an on-going, open group which serves to support and encourage caregivers of loved ones with Alzheimer's or related diseases, while providing information on available resources.  For additional information call 586-3147.

LifeSouth Donor Center, Highway 431, Albertville is now open 6 days a week in an effort to keep pace with the local need for blood.  Hours are Mon-Wed-Fri, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Tues & Thurs, 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.; and Sat. 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.  Click here for weekly schedule of special blood drives.
 

Duplicate Bridge Club - 12:30 - 3:30 p.m. Thursdays at the RSVP office.  Free lessons to teach duplicate bridge are given each Thursday from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  There is no cost to play.  For information call: Judith Gillespie at 571-0387.
 

Senior Center - 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays, lunch catered by Valley served at 11:00 a.m.  Line Dancing is held 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. Mondays and Fridays and gospel singings are 9:15 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.  An exercise to music video has also been added.  All senior citizens are welcome to attend.  Information: 586-6960

Cub Scouts Pack 60 -
This outdoor adventure program is geared for boys in grades first though fifth grade.

Boy Scout Troop 60 - The Troop has been actively involved in the community for over 60 years and has produced 60 Eagle Scouts.

NARFE - National Association of Federal Retired Employees, Chapter 942 meets 10:00 a.m. Each Third Thursday at Catfish Cabin, Albertville.
 

Ruth Volunteer Fire Department - Meeting each third Thursdays at 7:00 p.m. at Ruth Volunteer Fire Department on Mat Morrow Road.  Meeting is open to the community.  Drills held at 7:00 p.m. each second and fourth Thursdays.
 

Brindlee Mountain Saddle Club - meets 7:00 p.m. on first Tuesdays at the clubhouse on Rescue Road. Information: Terry Ramsey, 931-6106.
 

Arab Historical Society - Meets 6:30 p.m. each third Monday at the Elvin Light Museum, Arab Historical Complex, Arab City Park.  For more information contact: Ila Ruth Cooley, 586-4225.
