Stormy Dismuke Named Hospice of Marshall County Employee of the Year

February 20,
2008
Stormy Dismuke from Albertville, an employee
of Hospice of Marshall County (HMC), was
honored recently by being named the Hospice
of Marshall County 2007 Employee of the
Year.
Candidates for this award were nominated by
their co-workers. A panel of volunteers
reviews the letters of recommendation
submitted by co-workers and prepares a
ballot from all nominations. In nominating
Dismuke for this award, her co-workers cite
her willingness to do whatever it takes to
get the job done by stating, “Stormy is a
great representation of HMC. She has taken
on at least three different positions and
has done a great job.” One co-worker wrote
“she truly cares for all of our patients and
wants what is best for them.” Another
co-worker praised her for being a positive,
faithful advocate for all of her employees.
Recognition for Employee of the year started
in 1996. This provides recognition to a
deserving employee by their co-workers that
they felt excelled in many areas. All
employees are given the opportunity to
submit written nominations. The staff then
is extended the opportunity to vote on a
nominee of their choice.
Dismuke has been an employee with HMC since
1999 and held a number of positions during
her employment; on-call RN, staff RN,
Infection Control Nurse, Performance
Improvement Assistant, and Utilization
Review Coordinator. She currently serves in
the position of Clinical Manager. She and
her family live in Crossville and are active
members of New Home Baptist Church.
