Junior High Teams Sweep Final Home Games of Season

8th Grade Boys Defeat DAR 43-37

The eighth grade boys basketball team defeated DAR January 3rd by a score of 43-37.  High scorer for Arab was Jake Mann with 16 points.  Jonathon Embry scored 15 points, Seth Black scored 6, Charles Jacobs added 4 points and Connor Bedsole contributed 2 points for the win.

AJHS Eight Grade Girls Win 26-9 Over DAR Girls

The AJHS eighth grade girls defeat the DAR 8th grade handily.  Contributing to the 26-9 victory was high scorer Hayley Tidmore with 12 points, Lydia Latham and Jessica Baker tossed in 5 points each and Caelin Light added 3 and Kristin Wilks contributed 1.

7th Grade Boys Win a Hard Fought
Squeaker Against DAR 7th Grade

The AJHS 7th grade boys played the most exciting game of the series against DAR, managing to hold on to a one point leads in the final seconds.  Both teams took several timeouts as time began to run out but Arab forced DAR to fould in order to try and regain the ball.  Arab defeated DAR 25-24.  Leading the scoring for AJHS was Austin Bobo with 8 points.  Carson Poole, Sawyer Williams and Walker Vines racked up 4 points each while Clay Brown and Seth Gutherie added 2 points each.

AJHS 7th Grade Girls Take DAR Girls 25-16

The AJHS 7th grade girls got the series against DAR off to a good start with a resounding 25-16 victory.
Point leader for the game was Tori Parker tossing in 12 points followed by Kerrie Hatley with 4 points, Savannah Ashley with 3 and Connor Simmons, Brittany Abel and Skylar Hunkapillar with 2 each.
