It's
Mother's Day. And I'll bet you have a big
day lined up for mom. Maybe you'll start
by bringing her breakfast in bed.
Before
you do that, I want you to do one thing. I
want you to print mom's yearly paycheck.
You
could never place a value on mom, of
course. But, as it turns out, you can put
a value on her work!
Now,
mom's work never ends. And she takes on
many roles. So, it can be difficult to
calculate her annual salary.
Fortunately, Salary.com has a special
calculator that will help. Start by
selecting the number of children in your
family.
Then,
enter your ZIP code to get results
tailored to your area. Then, do a little
personalization. Estimate the amount of
time she spends weekly on certain duties.
When
you're done, you'll get a paycheck that
you can present mom. It will be huge. You
may want to call the bank to make sure
funds are available!
The
accuracy of this calculator is open to
debate. And the check won't be real. (Who
could afford that?) But it is a fun way to
show mom your appreciation.
Of
course, most moms wouldn't really want a
check. For us moms, watching our kids grow
is reward enough.
