For the second time in as many years Ramsay has been the spoiler when it comes to the State 5A Girls Basketball Championship.  For the past two years the final game has come down between Arab and Ramsay and both games have gone to Ramsay.  Final score Saturday evening was 38 - 31 Ramsay.

Ramsay led 11-7 at the end of the first quarter and 23-15 at half time.  In the third quarter Ramsay's strategy became to stall and control the ball.  In the third quarter, Ramsay took possession of the ball and stood in one spot for two minutes and forty-five seconds before making a move to shoot the final basket of the third quarter.  The shot missed and Ramsay led 27-23 at the end of three.

Alli Smalley led the Knights with 15 points followed by Kate Hadkova with 6, Anna Huckaby with 5, Courtney Gibson with 3 and Angela Henderson with 2.  The Lady Knights ended with a 32-5 season.
