Annie Sue McMahan Cooley age 86, of Arab passed away Thurs. Nov. 20, 2014, at Shepherd's Cove. Funeral Service was Sat. Nov. 22, 2014, at 2 PM at Arab First United Methodist Church with burial in Arab Memorial Cemetery. Visitation was Friday from 6 PM until 8 PM at Gober Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Marshall County.
Lula Carroll age 91, of Arab, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Marshall Manor Nursing Home. Funeral Service was Wednesday, November 19 at 11:00 A.M. at Gober Funeral Chapel with burial in Arab Memorial Cemetery. Visitation was Tuesday, November 18 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Gober Funeral Chapel.
Peggy Jane Wright Copeland
age 81, of Birmingham, passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at her residence. Funeral Service was Sunday, November 9 at 2:00 P.M. at Gober Funeral Chapel with burial in New Brashier's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation was Saturday, November 8 from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at Gober Funeral Chapel.
Brenda Rogers age 72, of Guntersville, passed away Monday Nov. 3, 2014, at Shepherd's Cove. Funeral Service was Friday, November 7 at 1:00 P.M. at Gober Funeral Chapel with burial in Sweet Home Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation was Thursday, November 6 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Gober Funeral Chapel.
Sara M. "Sally" Cox age 82, of Albertville, formerly of Arab passed away Sunday Nov. 2, 2014, at Shepherd's Cove. Funeral Service was Thurs. Nov. 6, 2014, at 2:30 PM at Arab First Baptist Church with burial in the Arab Memorial Cemetery. Visitation was at the Church on Wed. from 6 PM until 8 PM and on Thurs. from 10 AM until 2:30 PM. Gober Funeral Chapel directing the Service.

"Gill" Woolbright, 60 of Arab died Thursday, November 20, 2014 at his residence.
Mr. Woolbright was born September 5, 1954 in Texas, the son of James Edward, II and Effie L. Woolbright. He and the former Rose Mary "Mickey" Vincent were married 27 years. He was a 1972 graduate of Arab High School and also a college graduate.
Gill was an industrial electrician in the construction industry and has called the Arab area his home for most of his life. He was a member of Gum Pond Primitive Baptist Church and a member of Local Union 558, Florence, Alabama.
He is survived by his wife: Mickey Woolbright; three sons and daughters-in-law: Derek and Eathul Murphree, Harvey Murphree and Vincent and Lisa Murphree; a daughter and son-in-law: Dana and Robert Arendt; 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 1 great, great grandchild and a brother and sister-in-law: Christopher and Lethal Woolbright.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 23, 2014 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, Brother Heath Williams, officiating. Burial will be in Gum Pond Cemetery, Morgan County; Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Benny Holley, Benny Marsh, Barry Martin, Jack Moore, Randy Moore and Brad Sullivan.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.

Past Memorial Service...
Nell B. Tant, 89 of Guntersville died Monday, November 17, 2014 in Barfield Health Care, Guntersville.
Mrs. Tant was born July 31, 1925 in Hale County, Alabama the daughter of Dr. John H. Beckham, DVM and Lelia Martin Beckham. She was raised on a farm in Central Alabama, the daughter of a veterinarian. She was a high school graduate and during her school days, she was a cheerleader.
She and the late Robert Tant were married August 28, 1946 in Hale County, Alabama, he preceded her in death March 11, 2010.
She was a previous resident of Tuscaloosa and Florence, Alabama; North Olmstead and Lima, Ohio; Northville, Michigan, Chihuahua, Mexico and Apopka, Florida.
Mrs. Tant was an active member in the United Methodist Church for 76 years, an avid golfer in her latter years, a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and enjoyed the company of her many, many dear friends whom she treasured.
She is survived by a daughter: Robin L. Kelly; a son: Allen S. Tant (wife, Dee); 5 grandchildren: Allison Gray, Robert J. Tant, Jennifer Tant, Amanda Kelly and Paige Kelly; 7 great grandchildren: Jada, Alena, Brier, Trace, Layla, Mason and Maddox; a sister: Jean Wiggins and caregiver: Lynn Hampton.
Memorial service was 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Arab First United Methodist Church, Reverend Steve West, officiating.
The Family elected cremation, there was no visitation prior to the Memorial Service. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel assisted the family with cremation arrangements.

Sara Lee Oden Neely, 52 of Union Grove, the Pine Ridge Community died Sunday, November 16, 2014 in River City Center, Decatur.
Mrs. Neely was born March 18, 1962 in Columbus, Indiana, the daughter of Arthur and Polly Oden. She was a high school and college graduate and has called the Pine Ridge Community of Union Grove her home for the past 10 years.
She and her husband, Christopher Lee Neely were married seven and a half years.
She was of the Baptist faith and worked at various department stores such as K Mart, Dollar Tree and Dollar General. In her younger days she taught ballet and dance lessons.
She is survived by her husband: Chris Neely; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Cody Martin (LaManda) and Trent and Heather Neely; two daughters: Deenah Martin and Jima Neely; 7 grandchildren: Kaleb, Zoee, Anna, Marleigh, Mason, Dallas and Cass; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Steve Oden, Arthur and Jo Oden and Scott and Shannon Oden; a sister and brother-in-law: Carol and Mike DeFiore and preceded in death by her parents: Arthur and Polly Oden.
Funeral service was 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Brindlee Mountain Chapel, Morgan City, Dr. Clint Landry, officiating. Burial was in Rock Creek Cemetery (Morgan County - 3036 Lawrence Cove Road; Eva, AL 35621), Brindlee Mountain Chapel, Morgan City and Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers were Jamie Patrick, Robert, Roy and Trent.
Visitation was 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Brindlee Mountain Chapel, Morgan City.
