Edna M. Taylor age 91, of Arab passed away Sat. Oct. 25, 2014, at Barfield Healthcare. Funeral Service will be Monday Oct. 27, 2014, at 12 PM at Gober Funeral Chapel with burial in Arab Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 10 AM until the service time at 12 PM.
Sara Clark age 82, of Arab, passed away Friday, October 24, 2014 at Huntsville Hospital. Funeral Service will be Sunday, October 26 at 2:00 P.M. Gober Funeral Chapel with burial in Diamond Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, October 25 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.
Mary Jean Ledbetter age 81, of Guntersville passed away Wed. Oct. 22, 2014, at Barfield Healthcare. Funeral Service was Sat. Oct. 25th, at 12 PM at Gober Funeral Chapel with burial in Arab Memorial Cemetery. Visitation was Friday from 6 PM until 8 PM at Gober Funeral Chapel and 11 AM until 12 PM on Saturday.

age 67, of New Hope and formerly of Arab passed away Sunday Oct. 12, 2014, at Huntsville Hospital. Funeral Service was Wed. Oct. 15, 2014, at 2 PM at Gober Funeral Chapel with burial in New Harmony Cemetery. Visitation was Tues. from 6 PM until 8 PM at Gober Funeral Chapel.
Peggy King Martin age 77, of Arab passed away Thurs. Oct. 9, 2014, at Marshall Medical Center North. Funeral Service was Sat. Oct. 11, 2014, at 2 PM at Sweet Home Baptist Church with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation was Friday from 5:30 PM until 8 PM at Gober Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Mrs. Martin's memory to Sweet Home Baptist Church Building Fund. 1474 Union Grove Rd. Guntersville, AL 35976.
Laverne Grace age 62, of Joppa passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at her residence. Funeral Service was Thursday, October 9 at 3:00 P.M. at Ryan Baptist Church with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation was Wednesday, October 8 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Gober Funeral Chapel.

Russell Lynn Quinn, age 60, of Arab, died Friday, October 24 in Shepherd's Cove.
Graveside Service will be Sunday, October 26, 2014, at 2 pm, in Arab Memorial Cemetery with Chaplain Coy Hallmark officiating. Eulogy by David Carney.
Visitation will be Saturday evening from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
Russell was a retired Command Sgt Major in the Alabama National Guard.
Survivors are his wife of 38 years: Pamela Kelsoe Quinn; daughters and sons-in-law: Amber and Mike Melton and Whitney and Scott Nixon; brother: Jerry Quinn; sisters: Sarah (Harold) Romine, Mary (Roscoe) Douthit, Glenda ( Charlie) Shumate, and Debra (Elton) Rowe; grandchildren: Emma Melton and Parker Melton; mother-in-law: Velma Kelsoe; a sister-in-law: Sue (Jim) Cox, and a host of nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by brothers: Grafton Quinn and Lewis Quinn; a sister: Bernice Taylor, and father-in-law: Cecil Kelsoe.
Pallbearers will be Bruce Head, Rob Beaver, Luke Cox, Charlie Shumate, Adam Cox, Blake Cox, Mike Marion, and Elton Rowe.
In lieu of flowers, please give to Shepherd's Cove , Hospice of Marshall County.
Blake Ashley Cluxton, age 20, of Arab, died Wednesday, October 22, 2014, in Marshall Medical Center North ER.
Funeral service was Friday October 24, 2014, at 2 pm in Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel. Burial took place in Arab Memorial Cemetery, with Bro. Gregory Wilbanks officiating.

Judy Ann Boyd Voyles, 82 of Arab, the Grassy Community died Thursday, October 16, 2014 in H. M. C. Shepherd's Cove.
Mrs. Voyles was born April 26, 1932 in Madison County, the daughter of Joseph E. and Flora Boyd. She was a Homemaker, a life time resident of the Arab area and had retired from Eaton Company. She was a member of the Arab Church of Christ.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: Tommy Jack and Rose Voyles; two daughters: Jo Ann Garrett and Dimple Dianne Voyles; 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; two sisters: Georgia Tidmore and Patsy Norrell and a host of nieces, nephews; preceded in death by her husband: Jack Voyles (2005); a son: Curtis Leon Voyles; her parents: Joseph and Flora Boyd; five brothers: John Lemons, Alex Boyd, Elbert Boyd, Arnold Lemons and Ed Lemons and five sisters: Sula Boyd, Bell Lee, Mary Jo Sortor, Thelma Pritchett and May Bell Green.
Funeral Service was 3:30 p.m. Sunday, October 19, 2014 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, Brother Ken Tyler, officiating. Burial was in Union Grove Cemetery, Morgan City, Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers were Ricky Alldredge, Adam Narrell, Mark Narrell, Miles Narrell, Ben Tidmore and Rick Voyles.
Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.

William Kenneth "KEN" King, 79 of Union Grove, the Cherokee Ridge Community died Thursday, October 16, 2014 in H. M. C. Shepherd's Cove.
Mr. King was born September 27, 1935 in Elba, Alabama, the son of Horace and Reba King. He was a graduate of the University of Alabama; he joined the United States Navy and Honorably served his Country for 20 years as a Naval Pilot. He did one tour in Korea and two tours in Vietnam, retiring from the Navy as Commanding Officer of VT-28 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Commander King, then with his Masters Degree in Geology, went to work for Sun Exploration and Production, eventually retiring as the District Geologist in in charge of Oklahoma and Texas. After retirement with Sun, he then moved back to Alabama to be close to his mother.
Ken married the former Margaret Huse in 1962 and was a loving husband to Margaret for 52 years. Ken and Margaret had two sons: William Kenneth King Jr. and his wife, Cyndi and Kelly Huse King and his wife Diana; three granddaughters: Brandi King, Jazmyn Rodgers and Hannah Elizabeth King and a sister-in-law: Judy King; preceded in death by his parents: Horace and Reba King and by a brother: John Rann King.
Memorial Service was 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 19, 2014 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, Reverend Don Ware, officiating and Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
The family elected cremation with interment of cremains to take place at a later time in Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo, Alabama.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations in memory of Ken be made to H. M. C. Shepherd's Cove, 408 Martling Road; Albertville, AL 35951.
Visitation with the family was from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 19, 2014 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.

Billy Ray Atchley, 78 of Arab, the Ruth Community died Friday, October 17, 2014 in Barfield Health Care, Guntersville.
Mr. Atchley was born August 28, 1936 and raised in Guntersville, later moving to the Arab area. He was the son of Alonzo and Lydia Mitchell Atchley. He served in the United States Army.
He and the former Shirley Gail Cowen were married March 13, 1956. He was a dump truck driver with Kirkpatrick Concrete.
He is survived by his wife: Gail Atchley; a son: Andy Ray Atchley; daughter and son-in-law: Renotta and Denny Frachiseur; three grandchildren and spouses: Dustin Ray Frachiseur (Andrea), Aundria Walley (Michael) and Dalton Ray Atchley; five great grandchildren: Hayden Ray Frachiseur, Holt Andrew Frachiseur, Noah Ray Walley, Austin Walley and Reid Walley.
Memorial Service was 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, Brother Randy Blakely, officiating. The family elected cremation, Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel assisted them with direction of the memorial service and cremation.
Visitation with the family was from 12 Noon to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
