Mrs. Bernice Gibbs Kennamer age 92 of Union Grove passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at Marshall Medical Center North. Funeral service will at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 31, 2010 at Mt. View Baptist Church with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, July 30, 2010 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Gober Funeral Chapel. She will also lie in state at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time.

age 61 of Scant City,passed away at his home Sunday, July 18, 2010. Graveside service was held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 22, 2010 at Caddo Congregational Church in Trinity, Alabama.

Mr. Warren Woodrow Kelly
age 82 of Arab died Sat. July 10, 2010 at his Son's residence. Funeral Service was Monday July 12, 2010, at 2PM at Eddy Baptist Church with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation was on Sunday from 6-8 PM at Gober Funeral Chapel. He lay in state at the Church on Monday from 1-2 PM.

Betty Williamon - Age 81 - of Pine Ridge Road, the Morgan City Community of Lacey's Spring died Thursday, July 29, 2010 at her residence.
Graveside service will be Saturday, July 31, 2010, at 9:00 a.m in Howell Cemetery in Centre, Alabama. Visitation for Mrs. Williamon wil be Friday evening July 30, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. in the Brindlee Mountain Chapel in Morgan City.
Survivors are her son and daughter-in-law: Joe and Mary Ellen Whorton of Arab; daughter and son-in-law: Remonda and Frank Shepard of Arab; step-brother: Brett West of Centre; 4 grandchildren ;4 step grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

John Bailey Medley - age 73 - of 5th Street North East, Arab died Monday, July 26, 2010 in Huntsville Hospital Emergency Room.
Mr. Medley was born in Jacksonville, Alabama, July 31, 1936, the Son of John A. and Mary B. Medley. He was an Industrial Electrician and had served his Country in the United States Air Force. Mr. Medley had resided in Arab for the past 10 years and had previously lived in Jacksonville, Alabama.
John is survived by Three Sons and Daughters-In-Law: Timothy Jed Medley of Morgan City, Russell Bailey and Diane Medley of Elkmont, Alabama and Mark Lane and Cindy Medley of Toney, Alabama; Three Daughters and Son-In-Law: Robin Lee and Timothy R. Benson of Dover, Tennessee, Pamela Beatrice Medley of Cotaco and Angela Denise Pope of Texas; 10 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren; a Brother: Glenn Harold Medley of New York and a Sister: Brenda P. Ursery of Jacksonville, Alabama.
Graveside Service was 11 a.m. Thursday, July 29, 2010 in Rescue Cemetery with Randy Blakely, officiating, Brindlee Mountain Chapel Funeral Home, Morgan City, directing.
Pallbearers were Kenneth Harris, Josh Jennings, Marcus Medley, Mark Medley, Russell Medley and Tim Medley.
Visitation was from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. also on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at Brindlee Mountain Chapel Funeral Home in Morgan City.

Ruth Murphree - age 81 of U. S. Highway 278, Blountsville, Alabama, the Brooksville Community died, Friday, July 23, 2010 in Saint Vincent Medical Center, Birmingham, Alabama.
Mrs. Murphree was born in Blount County, Alabama, September 10, 1928, the Daughter of Josh and Hixie Morton. She was married to Jim Claude "Claudy" Murphree who preceded her in death on November 13, 2009. She was a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, a lifetime resident of Blount County, a Homemaker and a retired Seamstress for Blue Bell/Wrangler.
Ruth is survived by a Son: Tommie Murphree of Blountsville; a Daughter and Son-In-Law: Gay and Reverend John Carriker of Arab; 4 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren and a Brother and Sister-In-Law: Donald and WiloDean Morton of Arab.
Funeral Service was 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Reverend Jimmy Aaron and Reverend John Carriker, officiating; Soloist: Misty Cleland, Acoustic Guitar: Chris Wade. Burial was in Rock Springs Cemetery, Blount County, Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers were John Donaldson, Ned Hyde, Alan Morton, Randy Morton, Danny Scofield and Mike Stewart. Honorary Pallbearer was Richard Lindley.
Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 26, 2010 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
