Community
Invited to Snead State Presentation of
Campus Master Plan
August 8, 2009
Snead State Community College will hold a
special presentation for the community on
Tuesday, Aug. 11.
Krebs Architectural Firm will present the
Master Plan for the College at 7 p.m. in
Fielder Auditorium, located in the
Administration Building on the Boaz campus.
The community is invited to attend.
The Campus Master Plan is a project the
College started about nine months ago. The
plan will serve as a guide for College
officials to use over the next five to 10
years.
“It’s important for us to involve members of
the community in this process,” said Snead
State President Dr. Robert Exley. “Snead
State serves a vital purpose in this area,
and the College would not be as successful
as it is without the support of the
community. This process is important in
leading us to better serve our students as
we continue to grow.”
The presentation will include conceptual
plan views of the campus; a campus
infrastructure map; athletic facility
concept plans; a facilities inventory and
assessment; circulation, traffic, landscape,
and outdoor gather site analysis;
development of campus standards, signage,
and way finding; and development of an
interactive campus map.
