Junior High Wins Four Straight Against Brindlee Mountain

Arab Junior High School
and Brindlee Mountain Middle School basketball teams met for
the second time this season Monday evening at the Arab
Elementary School gym. Arab came away with wins in
each of the four games played.

The Arab 7th Grade Girls narrowly defeated
the Brindlee Mountain Middle School 7th Grade Girls in a
very physical game on Monday night. Arab led 11-7 at
half time but added only 3 points in the second held while
BMMS added 5 points to close the gap. However, Arab
held on for the 14-12 final score and victory

Grade Boys Lead 35-22 Over
Brindlee Mountain Middle School Boys

The Jr. Knights 7th Grade Boys jumped out to
an early lead over the Brindlee Mountain Lions and held on
to win 35-22. Arab led 14-2 at the end of the first
quarter, 20-8 at the half and 27-13 after 3 quarters.

8th Grade Girls Outshoot Brindlee Mountain

The 8th Grade Lady Knights defeated the BMMS
Lady Lions by a score of 44-6. The Knights led 8-0
after the first quarter and 28-0 at half time.
Brindlee Mountain got on the scoreboard with 6 points in the
second half but Arab added and addition 16 points during the
same time.
Scoring for Arab were: Hayley Tidmore and
Caelin Light with 10 points each, Abbi Thrower with 8
points, Jessica Baker with 7, Giselle Escalanta and Morgan
Vickers with 3 each and Kayla Payne with 2 and Lydia Latham
with 1.
Scoring for Brindlee Mountain were: Tiffany
Rainwater with 4 points and Courtney Green with 2.

The Arab 8th Grade Boys completed the sweep
with a 61-16 victory over the Brindlee Mountain 8th Grade
Boys. Arab led 19-10 at the end of one quarter of play
and 39-15 at the half. Arab added 15 unanswered points
during the third quarter to lead 51-15 at the end of three.
Arab added 10 more points in the 4th quarter while Brindlee
Mountain added 1 point.
Jonathon Embry led the Knight scoring with 12
points, followed closely by Jake Mann with 10 points, Lake
Graham with 7 points and John Will Richey and Charles Jacobs
with 6 points each. Shannon Thomas tossed in 5 points
while Blake Helton contributed 4 and Chase Weaver added 3
points. Connor Bledsoe, John Trey Biggs, Jake Mount
and Seth Black each scored 2 points.
Scoring for Brindlee Mountain were; Humphries
with 5 points, Nick Bolding and Josh Bolding with 4 points
each and Bronson Edmonds with 1 point.
