April 11, 2010 AHS girls tennis coach Alana Burks said, "This year I have seen more strong play and overall improvement in Marshall County tennis as a whole than ever before. Our girls were having to play strong all day. Guntersville is always tough, and they made every final in singles and doubles. Our girls were pushed, and I liked what I saw with sectionals two weeks away. We had five girls to make the finals: Abby Burks at one, Caleigh Poole at four, Mary Paige Hunt at five, Emma Walker at six, and Ashley Vickers (along with Poole) at two doubles. Caleigh Poole won the championship at the #4 singles." Complete story and match stats.... Knights Place Second In County Tourney
